      An enjoyable read for rock-star romance fans and second-chance romance fans. Sweet southern characters that have a history together. What’s not to like with hot and sexy rock stars roaming around their home town of Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Seeing the relationship via flashbacks and memories helped to understand why Lexie and Jude were still lusting after each other.
From the time, they were kids they were friends with each other as well as friends with Lexi’s business partner and gay roommate Eric. The three musketeers were inseparable for years…until Jude’s band Bayou Stix was signed by a major record label. Lexi inspired many of their hits, older and new ones.

“Yes, Lex. The song is about you. It’s always about you.”   ~Jude sings to Lexi beside the river when they are still teens.

Everyone wanted a piece of Jude. He was a broken man. Only hearing what when wrong and being with Lexi could fix him. She kept saying she did not need him but in the end, their lust and love drive her back into his arms.

‘Women want him and men want to be him, and me…me, I just love him. I want him and I want to be with him.’   ~Lexi on getting back together with Jude, 8 years of separation.

The teasing, as only people who have know each other for ages, will have you rolling in the floor. Three old friends, his band and her college friend all have attitudes. Not smart attitudes but fun teasing ones that make them all closer.

“Ha! I never said I was a ’Sex God’. I said I was a sexy rocker God. But you can call me a ’Sex God’ if you insist!”   ~Jude teasing Lexi.

Once the two lovers quit fighting their hormones, the sex scenes are hot! They both give a perspective of people who have been hurt and are trying to put things back together. There is romance and sexy moments that get them back together.

“Say, ‘Jude, baby…you were AMAZING. So amazing, you ROCKED my world so much, that I passed out!’ ‘Cause you know I did!”   ~Jude teasing Lexi about passing out after a massive orgasm.

        This is a sweet story that is a great beginning to a series of novels. All the characters are interesting and have a story to tell. You will look forward to the next novel in the series and become a Bayou Stix groupie!
