Isabella Rae's "A Sweet Affair" is delicious!

“A Sweet Affair” (Atlanta Affair)

By Isabella Rae

Review by Wendy Dawn

“In Summation”:

For Sage Mccarthy, life has not been all sunshine and roses, and over the years she's developed some deep seeded trust issues. So it's no wonder that when Connor Reed comes along, she thinks he is too good to be true. Despite the wall she's built, Connor quickly breaks his way inside and shows her how to love again.
When the past shows up, and threatens to hurt the people she loves she has decisions to make. Will she embrace her new found trust, and the man she loves? Or will she put her walls back up to protect them both?

Connor is a broken man, slowly working his way back from a bad relationship. He meets Sage and knows his life will never be the same. When the unthinkable happens, he must act quickly; doing everything he can to protect the woman he loves.

“The Reviews are in”:

A sweet read! Two epicureans finding love is delicious!
One delightful story; it has love, romance, adventure and humor. The story line is intriguing from the beginning. From Sage’s husband taking off with her future, to her picking herself up and keeping her dream alive. A dream that will come to fruition with her perseverance and hard work.
These characters are well developed and the storyline flows with purpose. Even the minor characters have some hilarious moments.

“Good morning ladies.” (Connor)
“It won’t be such a good morning for you Connor Reed, if I have to see your morning wood much longer.”   ~Victoria to Connor after discovering him and Sage asleep in the floor of the bakery kitchen the morning after…

Sage and Connor can even laugh at themselves. This makes them more real and human to readers.

“Look at me! I’m laying here with high heels on, my bra is around my waist and my panties are barely hanging on to my hips. I look ridiculous.”
“I think you look beautiful.”   ~Sage and Conner laughing after the frenzy of their coupling

Adventure is just around the corner for the two new lovers. Sage’s ex-husband shows up bringing trouble from their shared past to her doorstep. She has to deal with her past and let her friends in on the person she used to be while she was with her ex. This part of the story got intense. It will have you biting your nails until it reaches its peak and conclusion.

Her being a baker and him a chef, food was always in the background. So don’t read without a bag of cookies handy or a cupcake or two!
In addition, don’t forget the recipes in the back of the book! This is a nice touch that will make your mouth water for more from Ms. Rae.
