Get revved up with "Ryder"!

“Ryder”

Scorpions MC Prequel

By Jani Kay

Review by Wendy Dawn

“In Summation”:

Contains Explicit Sex & Extreme Language for Mature Audiences 18+++
WARNING!!!
PLEASE DO NOT read this book if you are easily offended or squeamish about language or sexual situations. It is a prequel. Purpose: to give background on the characters - why they are the way they are. It is purely FICTION.

Ryder has a foul mouth and a dirty mind and doesn't think much of women after being deserted by his mother as a kid - he's a MC biker FFF - one who had a ROUGH childhood...so expect BAD things in his past...it's what makes him the person he is... I'm not apologising for that and I'm not 'softening' Ryder in any way (and insulting my reader's intelligence in the process). Deal with it!!!
Because as much as it IS fiction, these things do happen in real life...

All Jade ever wants is an intelligent, well-mannered, and highly educated man like her daddy. One who has stellar career prospects as he climbs the corporate ladder to success. A good provider who will give her a stable life and a gorgeous house in the right neighborhood. A charmed life. Everything orderly and well balanced. Her perfect match.
What she doesn’t want is a smartass, cocky, rough-around-the-edges biker. One who has tattoos and piercings, and looks like a sex god. One who is demanding and controlling. The ultimate alpha male who storms into her life and shakes her to the core. Who won’t take no for an answer.
Jade never saw it coming. Ryder is the one man she can’t resist. He shows her what she really needs. Him.
Jade is the quintessential good girl. But what if she discovers that her perfect world isn’t as great as she believes it to be?
Underneath the layer of propriety, is there a naughty girl waiting to break free. Is Ryder the man to show her how?

All Ryder wants is inner peace. Freedom from the hatred churning in his gut.
Since his mother deserted him, his life has turned to shit.
He’s killed a man, lost his brother and fought for his survival. All before turning twelve.
Saved by Razor and Cobra, sons of the Scorpions, he owes his life and allegiance to them. The Scorpion MC is his only family. One he will serve and protect till his dying breath.
What he doesn’t need in his life is a smart mouthed woman who thinks she’s better than him. One who pushes every one of his buttons. One who challenges him to want to be more than a drifter. One who makes him question everything he’s ever known.
Ryder never saw it coming. He can’t get Jade out of his head. She shows him what he really wants. Her.

Two worlds colliding. Can they make it work? Or will it tear them apart?
Ryder wants Jade beneath him. Submitting to him and only him.

“I’m addicted to the taste of you, baby. Your skin. Your mouth. Your pussy. Give it to me. All of it. I want it all.” ~ Ryder

Jade has other plans that don’t include badass biker boys.

“A perfect man is non-existent. So I wasn’t waiting for a perfect man. I was just waiting for the man who was perfect for me.” ~ Jade

Can two people, so different in every way, find love?

The Prequel is a novella, and continues in Scorpions MC: Two Worlds Colliding (Book 1) Release Date: 18 March 2014. The Prequel also ties in with the Firebird Series: characters from 'Lost in France' appear in this prequel. (If you would like to read more about Max, Ryder's half brother, and Rebecca, Jade's cousin, you will enjoy Lost In France.)

“The Reviews are in”:

A wonderful beginning to a new series of novels. You are introduced to some new characters with some wonderful background stories. There are some familiar faces thrown in as well from some of Ms. Kay’s previous novels.
Two individuals that have opposite backgrounds and ambitions cross paths, they challenge each other’s patience first then they challenge each other’s libidos.
Jade is a princess. She can take care of herself, but she is Daddy’s little girl. Her life is all planned out for her, at least in her mind. She is onboard with Daddy’s plans for her to marry and have the white picket fence. However, she has an idea of what type of man she wants to settle down with as a wife.
Finishing in college, she is not stupid. Jade’s quick wit and strait forward approach makes her an interesting personality.

Not understanding why my heart was beating so furiously at the sight of him striding toward me, with a cocky grin plastered on his face. Yes, Ryder Knox was sex on legs.   ~Jade observing Ryder

Jade’s attraction to the tough as nails biker is pushed to the back of her mind as she observes him and goes on with her life and well mapped out future. She never imagined that Ryder was attracted to her.
Ryder is the bad boy all women want. He has an unimaginable childhood. His story is heart breaking. He finds his salvation through his new family; Scorpions MC. Loyal to a fault, Ryder is exactly what you see he puts up no fronts or makes any excuses.
Finally, he is in the right place at the right time to be a knight in shining armor for Jade. He scoops her up and proceeds to make her his woman.

How screwed up this was. A princess and a biker. It couldn’t work in a million years. I know that. Yet, I couldn’t stop myself even if I wanted to.   ~Ryder musing about his new possessiveness of Jade

Some of Ryder’s language and endearments will make you blush. He is a hard-core MC biker. It’s exactly how you would imagine him…hot, tattooed and unapologetic. He takes what he wants at he happens to want Jade.
Neither character can predict what will happen next. It is exciting to see them come together. You will look forward to the series just to see what happens with these lovers. Motorcycle sex has never been so hot!
