“STRINGS (Hard Rock Harlots) Book 1” by Kendall Grey

Letty Dillinger is not the typical heroine. She is a foulmouthed, hard core rocker chick that takes no prisoners. From the beginning she makes no excuses for her attitude, she is 100% rock and roll. Her all girl band is exactly what every girl fantasized about being apart of, just to show the boys we can rock as hard as you; if not harder.
If you find crude honest language and adventuresome sexual escapades offensive, this is not the book for you. On the other hand if you have a wicked sense of humor and a fondness for bad boy bassists who wear “Shades”, this book will “rock your face off!”
The hero, Todd “Shades” Armstrong, is not your typical rocker dude. He’s a rich boy trying to show the world he is more than what his Daddy can buy for him. His “open minded” willingness to “try anything once” leads to some very interesting scenes in taxi cabs, Daddy’s hotel, tour busses and a pre-concert stage.
Letty’s attitude about romantic relationships and sex is not hearts and flowers. She is a “fuck it like you hate it”, kind of girl. Which will have you laughing out loud at her outlandish behavior and way with words. It is refreshing to have a heroine that is not a virginal sacrifice but a sluttish sex loving nympho who is not afraid to own it!
A contest between Letty and “Shades” bands during a tour, which they share a tour bus, of who has the most fans is the heart of the story. As the tour goes on the characters experience what you would expect as typical rock n’ roll antics going within the confines of a tour bus, back stage and on the road. These expectations are merely back drops for the real dramas and antics. They also provide you insight into the supporting characters. (Ms. Grey was brilliant with her writing here as she is ingraining and endearing the other characters to us for more books in this series!)
“Strings” is one of the most refreshing books with honest and vibrant characters. It does come with a warning! So open you mind, put on some rock music and prepare to laugh till you cry as Letty, the girls from Cherry Buzz Float, “Shades” and the guys from Killer Dillon take you on tour with them.
