Cast a Spell for a Lover on Halloween!

"Magick Weaved on a Samhain Eve"

(Magick Weaved Series)

By V. J. Chisholm

Review by Wendy Dawn

“In Summation”:

Alexia is a lively, single, sassy and sexy coven witch yet she finds herself and her sex life (or lack of it) the hot topic of her fellow coven sisters after one of the coven's full moon meetings.
Add to the mix the discovery of an old spell and Alexia’s life starts to change very quickly as a spirit named Lance appears. Combine the heat of the full moon and a hint of destiny, life will never be the same again for Alexia.

“The Reviews are in”:

In the spirit of Halloween or Samhain to Witches and Wiccians, this is a very well researched and written story. The accuracy of knowledge of an alternative religion should be applauded. It is refreshing to read an author who knows the subject matter and has taken the time to research or actually talk to practioners.
The story line is very sweet. Not innocent, these characters are summoning spirit lovers after all. To read about a group of women who bond together for a common cause, instead of seeing each other as competition is very inspiring.
Each main character’s personality is showcased by the storyline. As a reader, you will look forward to more stories in the Magick series, so you will be able to follow each characters story.
Alexia and Lance worked because of faith, belief and timing. This can be said of any relationship. It does not hurt that Lance is super hot. However, eventually Alexia has to stop fighting and give into the experience.

“Believe in us, little one, and all will become clear!” ~Lance whispers to Alexia as he fades away during the first rays of dawn.

On a personal note, if I were single I would be tempted to try a lover-summoning spell of my own on Samhain/Halloween. This short story made me smile and giggle that much!

By Terry Towers

Review By Wendy Dawn

“In Summation”:

     She's always wanted him

There has only ever been one man who has filled Nikki's fantasies. Hometown hero, Special Agent Grant Rivers. When Grant takes her out for a night on the town, for her nineteenth birthday, Nikki decides it's time to take matters into her own hands and make her fantasies a reality.

     He can't deny her

After being away for a number of years Grant is shocked to see the girl he's once known has turned into a sexy and seductive young woman. And she has her mind set on him! While his will is strong, there is something about the dark-haired beauty that he finds impossible to resist...

6 part series

The "Moan For Uncle" series began in October of 2011 and for over four months dominated the erotica charts of sellers such as Amazon, Barnes & Noble, iTunes, and All Romance e-books, and was named by numerous readers & review websites as a "must read" in taboo erotica/erotic romance.
Many retailers deemed it "too hot and edgy" so opted to suppress it with filters or outright banning it, but despite the challenges, readers still found their way to Moan, so it has continued to be a thriving success. With over 100,000 books sold worldwide and now in three languages. Moan For Uncle will take you on an erotic journey you'll want to take over and over again.

Contents Of The Collection:

Moan For Uncle
Nikki has spent countless nights pleasuring herself to the thought of one man; her oh-so-sexy Uncle Grant. When he takes her out for her nineteenth birthday - just the two of them - she sees it as an opportunity. She has one night to seduce him and prove that she's no longer daddy's little girl.

Moan For Uncle 2: Keeping It Secret
Nikki is finally at college and missing her sexy Uncle Grant so badly that
she's wearing out her new best friend - her vibrator! Overjoyed that he is able to take time off to visit her for a few days, Nikki's excitement is short-lived when her parents also turn up unannounced. With mom and dad not leaving their side, Nikki and Uncle Grant find that keeping it secret is painfully difficult.

Moan For Uncle 3: No More Secrets
When Uncle Grant comes home for the holidays he finds his sweet Nikki busy - with another man! Sparks fly both in the bedroom and with the people around them as they decide to disclose their true relationship to the world. But will their loved ones be willing to accept their little secret?

Moan For Uncle 4: Skeletons In The Closet
Just two months away from becoming Mr and Mrs Grant Rivers, Nikki discovers a skeleton in Grant's closet. A larger-than-life skeleton that has Nikki close to calling off the wedding and Grant desperate to make things right, before it's too late. With their relationship on the line, it's up to Grant to make things right before he loses Nikki for good.

Moan For Uncle 5: Love Or Duty
When dangerous people from his past find out Grant's true identity and threaten the life of his bride-to-be Nikki and his unborn baby, Grant realizes that past deeds do not go unpunished and must take action. He is forced to come to the realization that merging the man he is with the man he wants to be isn't as easy as he'd hoped and he must make an impossible choice between love or duty...

Moan For Uncle 6: To Love & Honor
It has been a long, hard road with many obstacles for Grant and Nikki to overcome, but the day has finally arrived... The day Nikki gets to marry her hero, her oh-so-sexy Uncle Grant, and she quickly finds out that it was worth the wait. Not only does she experience the wedding of her dreams, but Grant is determined to give her a honeymoon that she won't soon forget.

“The Reviews are in”:

For taboo readers this is definitely goes on your must read list! It is a sweet story of a girlhood crush that comes to fruition.

Non-taboo readers may have issue getting past the fact Grant is Nikki’s Uncle. Even though he was adopted and not a blood relation, it may propose an issue for some readers. To each his or her own, if it is not your thing move on to the next book.

If you stick with the series, expect not just a hot love story but some intrigue. Grant is a government agent, so anticipate some of his professional life to bleed into his private life. Especially since, he finally has something worth loosing, Nikki.
As a couple these, two could not be hotter. Your kindle (or electronic reading device) will be melting from all the steamy scenes Nikki and Grant have together in and out of the bedroom. Nikki may be young and low on experience, put she makes up for it with her enthusiasm and love for Grant. In addition, Grant, he is just too yummy to be a fictional character.

As the story line develops, the writing continues to improve; it is quite good to begin with, but as the characters stretch and grow so does Author Terry Tower’s ability to tell their story. It is nice to see an author connect with their characters, Towers achieves this feat. With such a deep connection and affection for these characters, Towers will be able to continue to tap into their story line for years to come. Striking gold with such, a taboo topic is normally unheard of, Towers talent as a writer and storyteller guides her achievement.

All though, the series ended with Nikki and Grants wedding, readers have more to look forward from this truly gifted author.

Be careful what you wish for!

"This Crazy Little Thing"

By Tamryn Ward

Published by: CreateSpace Independent Publishing Platform

Review by Wendy Dawn

“In Summation”:

Meet Jane Brown.

Jane Brown isn't a millionaire.

Jane Brown isn't a member of MENSA.

Jane Brown doesn't wear a size two like her model-perfect coworker Monica Starke.

Until...

One wish leads to waking in Monica's French lingerie...and her perfectly-proportioned body. It's a dream come true--until she learns Monica's life isn't the fairytale Jane had always imagined. Well, with one exception: her ripped-from-the-pages-of-a-romance-novel billionaire ex-boyfriend, Jason Foxx.

“The Reviews are in”:

‘Freaky Friday’ meets ‘The Bachelor’ in this entertaining story.
Jane Brown is every woman. She is the average working girl who has struggled and saved for everything she has achieved. Jane’s character is easy to relate to on a personal level for most readers. She envies her co-worker, Monica for what she thinks Monica has…the perfect life.
A wish on a star, or a meteor shower, has the women switching bodies. Jane discovers the illusion that is Monica’s perfect life.

“I’m guessing Mr. Foxx’s not so pleased with you anymore.”
“What? I…” Oh, she was so steamed she couldn’t speak. “I own this car. It was given to my by my boyfriend.”
“The papers I have say it don’t belong to a woman. It’s owned by a fella and he wants it back.” ~Jane in Monica’s body to a tow truck driver.

Monica’s car being repossessed was just the beginning, all her credit cards were maxed out; the woman Jane envied was coming up short. At each turn, the pieces of the coveted life begin to unravel as a finely woven tapestry of lies.
Jane decides she will fix some of Monica’s problems, since she is stuck in her body. Financial problems are not just on the to do list, Monica’s former boyfriend and car owner, Jason, is still in love with Monica.
As Jane tries to reignite the passion Jason has for Monica, things get complicated and Jane has to remind herself that she is doing this for Monica. Jason begins to fall hard for the ‘new Monica’, but is it Monica or Jane he is in love with?
Even after the women switch back to their own bodies Jason is still confused. He begins walking thru the motions with Monica. She has changed, but she is not the same woman he fell so hard for and wanted to spend the rest of his life with. It begins to drive him crazy! Loosing sleep and coming up with all kinds of crazy ideas on how he even knows Jane Brown, he finally is at wits end.

“Please quit joking around and tell me the truth. I need to know. I deserve to know,” he pleaded as his gaze fixed on her eyes. “Which woman have I fallen in love with? Monica Starke or Jane Brown?”
“I have to know.” “I’m about to marry one of them. I can’t marry the wrong woman.” ~Jason asking Jane whom he fell in love with.

Confusing and interesting this story has a lot to offer. Several situations are humorous, especially how Jane as Monica thwarts sexual advances of Jason. Poor man had to be confused when a woman goes from sex kitten to ‘not tonight’ at the snap of a finger.      It was easy to keep up with who was who, even though they may not be in their own body. It is very well written from Jane’s point of view. She gets to see that the grass is not always greener on the other side, sometimes you have to pull some weeds and prune the bushes while you are there.
It would be interesting to see the story from Monica’s point of view. She does do some life making over on Jane’s life. Perhaps readers will be treated with that story next from Ms. Ward.

Will the real Amy Bensen please stand up?

“Escaping Reality”

(The Secret Life of Amy Bensen) Book 1

By Lisa Renee Jones

Date Published: July 22, 2013
Review by Wendy Dawn

“In Summation”:

Infinite possibilities....

Infinite passion.....
Infinite danger....His touch spirals through me, warm and sweet, wicked and hot. I shouldn't trust him. I shouldn't tell him my secrets. But how do I not when he is the reason I breathe? He is what I need.

At the young age of eighteen, tragedy and a dark secret force Lara to flee all she has known and loved to start a new life. Now years later, with a new identity as Amy, she's finally dared to believe she is forgotten-even if she cannot forget. But just when she lets her guard down, the ghosts of her past are quick to punish her, forcing her back on the run.

On a plane, struggling to face the devastation of losing everything again and starting over, Amy meets Liam Stone, a darkly entrancing recluse billionaire, who is also a brilliant, and famous, prodigy architect. A man who knows what he wants and goes after it. And what he wants is Amy. Refusing to take "no" as an answer, he sweeps her into a passionate affair, pushing her to her erotic limits. He wants to possess her. He makes her want to be possessed. Liam demands everything from her, accepting nothing less. But what if she is too devastated by tragedy to know when he wants more than she should give? And what if there is more to Liam than meets the eyes?

“The Reviews are in”:

Intrigue, secrets and incomplete memories…this story has it all. In addition, not to mention a hot billionaire architect, that is dominate and irritable. This story will keep you on your toes guessing and you still will not figure it out!
Characters are written in a way you fall in lust with all the men and want to save Amy from whatever tragedy lurks in her past. Never a boring moment in the story. Each character enhances the plot and gives just one more piece to the puzzle of the big picture.
Seeing such a scared and carefully guarded woman fall under a dominant’s spell is truly enjoyable. As Liam peels back each layer of Amy’s resolve and pulls her closer into his world and protection, Amy can breathe. For the first time in her life, she begins to trust and the memories start flooding back.

“You think you’re alone but you aren’t.”
“Because I have you now?” “Yes. I know you don’t believe that, but you will. Soon, baby, you will.” ~ Liam to Amy

Liam definitely knows how to push Amy’s buttons physically. A dominate man is just what Amy needs to get her mind on what her body craves and desires. Moreover, Liam can deliver her desires and then some! Her new apartment is truly christened! Some of the scenes are so hot you will blush as you read them!
Many odd characters pop into Amy’s life. Jared is her across the hall neighbor, from her home state of Texas. Meg, who works at the law office that holds the lease to her apartment, gives her work from her out of the country boss.

“Life is as perfect as a hot man in a pink hat, if you know what I mean.”
I try to picture Liam in a pink hat and she is right. It’s just wrong. ~Meg and Amy talking about men and how both women are new to town.

Even though Amy begins to let down her guard somewhat, she still keeps her suspicious nature. Being cautious will keep her alive and in the game until she can find out just what the game is and why she is playing or being played.

Be on the look out for the next book in the series “Infinite Possibilities”. Without spoiling it for you, the first book is a cliffhanger. It ends leaving infinite possibilities…

Sexy Hair Stylist Needed!

“Style Me Sexy” (Novella)

By Tara Chevrestt

Date Published: October 1, 2013
Published by: Escape Publishing - Harlequin Enterprises, Australia Pty Ltd

Review by Wendy Dawn

“In Summation”:

A charming short story about beauty, the beholder, and believing in yourself.

Bridget knows she isn’t beautiful; her ex made that point abundantly clear. So when her online-only romance suddenly leads to a real-life blind date, she beelines to the salon for a makeover. She’s dismayed and embarrassed when her usual stylist isn’t available and the sexy Javier steps in.

Javier has long been aware of the timid but kind woman, and vows to take this opportunity to make her see that she's beautiful on the outside, as well as in. Will he succeed in keeping his own feelings at bay and style her sexy?

“The Reviews are in”:

This is a cute and engaging quick read. Characters that readers will swiftly relate to and become involved with on a personal level. A story line ripe with possibilities for the author to continue the adventure these characters have only just begun.
For most women it is hard to trust just anyone with the care your hair. When your trusted stylist has an emergency and you really need to look good for a first date what would you do? Take what is there or make due?

“You already look good; miss, but a cut and some highlights, yes? That will make you look sexy. Sexy is better than good.” ~Javier to Bridget convincing her to let him do her hair.

What could it hurt? Right?!?

“I can’t believe I’m doing this, but okay. You can have your way with me.” ~ Bridget to Javier as she decides to let him do her hair and she wrongfully assumes he is a gay hairdresser.

This really shows what many have known all along, a good hair stylist is worth their weight in gold. They can make you feel sexy, hot and worth a million bucks. In addition, Javier is written as one of the best hair stylist on earth. He takes a woman who has been proverbially thrown under the bus by men and makes her see how beautiful she is on the outside. Bridget even begins to believe in her external transformation. She is already beautiful on the inside. Now she is a complete package.

The plot has a delicious twist that will give readers a warm fuzzy feeling. It is sweet and a very uplifting romance novella. A joy to read.

Will you accept the next step?

“S.E.C.R.E.T. Shared: A SECRET Novel”

By L. Marie Adeline

Date Published: October 15, 2013
Published by: Broadway Books

Review by Wendy Dawn

“In Summation”:

The hotly anticipated sequel to the erotic sensation S.E.C.R.E.T., where women’s sexual fantasies become reality

Still wounded from a recent heartbreak over her boss and lover, Will, Cassie Robichaud throws herself into service with S.E.C.R.E.T., the mysterious organization that changed her forever by bringing her deepest sexual fantasies to life, one step at a time. Now, it’s Cassie’s turn to guide the group’s newest candidate, Dauphine Mason, recruiting men to execute a new set of fantasies.
At thirty-one, Dauphine is the proprietor of a New Orleans vintage clothing store. She’s been harboring a crush on Mark Drury, a local rock star, but is too shy to put herself out there with him. She turns to S.E.C.R.E.T. to reignite her sexual flame and find the confidence to risk her heart again with another man.
As Cassie worries that the right time will never come for her and Will, she finds inspiration helping Dauphine in S.E.C.R.E.T. Both women navigate the rocky path between their hearts and their passions, hoping to discover what they truly want in life and in love.
      S.E.C.R.E.T. Shared
is a romantic, adventurous, and sexually charged sequel to one of the hottest new series in erotica.

“The Reviews are in”:

This is the second book in the series and it is off to a wonderful start. The two main heroines, Cassie and Dauphine, have very separate needs and issues however, the story line intertwine nicely.
As a reader, you will find yourself wishing that S.E.C.R.E.T. were a real organization. A safe place where other women would help others fulfill their sexual fantasies with the purpose of making each woman a stronger, confident and able to love again has a place, even if it is only fictional.

“The word slut, unless employed by iron-clad feminists or ironically by irony experts, has no business coming out of a woman’s mouth, do you hear me? Not when she is describing her own sexual behavior and especially if she’s describing another woman’s. It’s the kind of word that can scar, Cassie.” ~Matilda to Cassie

Empowering each other instead of tearing one another or themselves down is the primary lesson. Males have been doing the same sexual exploits for centuries; these characters just emulate their male counterparts.
The southern roots and mannerisms of the characters and the setting make the story endearing to readers. New Orleans is known for its decadence and moral ambiguity, due to Mardi Gras and the merriment that is associated with it.

You know your Southern upbringing has grown twisted when your first instinct is to be polite when intruding upon your boyfriend f*cking your best friend. ~Dauphine recalling her initial reaction to finding Luke cheating on her with her friend and business partner, Charlotte

Hot fantasy scenes are very well thought out and written. Characters are well developed and interesting. Each character is relatable and a delight to follow.
Once you enter the world of S.E.C.R.E.T., you will crave more. In addition, wish some woman would approach you and ask you to take the first of those ten steps.

     Will you accept the step?

When Wives get Wicked

“The Wicked Wives Playbook:

Her Best Friend Must Seduce Her Husband”

By Ali Clark

Date Published: September 1, 2013

Review by Wendy Dawn

“In Summation”:

Leah Evans is a Chicago lawyer. Claire Forrest, her closest friend, lives in New York with her husband John.

One night
Leah has always wanted to explore her wilder side, but when she marries the conservative Michael, the door to that part of her life seems to have slammed shut.

However, when work brings Leah to Manhattan, one wild night with Claire and an exotic man, may have opened Pandora's box.

Convinced that this is the only way to open-up his mind and unshackle herself, Leah asks her friend to seduce her husband. The consequences carry Leah, Michael, Claire, and John on an extreme, erotic roller coaster.

“The Reviews are in”:
This is one of the hottest ideas two friends could ever come up with! Some of the steamiest sex scenes you will ever read. Over the top teasing and pleasing is a staple in this playbook of two wives getting just what they want from their husbands.

“I love Michael, a lot. And he loves me too. But, sometimes I feel,…so,” she paused. “restricted.” ~Leah explaining to Claire how she needs something more

Leah and Claire hatch this crazy plan after a wild night with a business colleague of Leah’s. The threesome that leads them to wonder what else is out there for them. In addition, how do they get Leah’s husband Michael to get the proverbial stick out of his backside?
Thus, the plan is hatched for Claire to seduce Michael. Tease him and let him feel guilty for desiring someone other than Leah. Sounds like a great plan while they are talking about it.

John, Claire’s husband even gets into the teasing. Apparently, a new aspect to their marriage is voyeurism, audio and visual versions. Having Michael as their houseguest flips all the switches.

“Looks like you agree very strongly, that Claire looks hot.” John quipped, laughing.

These characters get deeper in when they try to keep things even by letting Leah seduce John. This group gives new meaning to teasing. Their antics are fun to read and imagine. A lot of thought went into writing each scene especially any involving water (Hot tubs, Houseboats).
One of the best aspects of the story is seeing how each husband deals with jealousy and fear of loosing his wife to someone else. However, over riding that fear is they want happy wives, and will do what ever it takes to make them happy.
The husbands internal dialog is crucial to understanding where there head is and how this could actually take place in real life. It makes it a true possibility, more real to readers. This shows how wonderful character development, even in the midst of kink is important for believability and realism.
A fun and enjoyable read that is easy to imagine really happening to two hot couples.

The Ratings*:

Heros: 4
Heroines: 4
Story/Plot/HEA: 4.25

A Feather Light touch tames a Storm

"Feather Light" by Lorenz Font

Date Published: October 10, 2013

Review by Wendy Dawn

“In Summation”:

Parker Davis has conquered three major American cities and is the new ‘it’ man in massage. He earned the nickname ‘Feather Light’ for his sensual touches, tender caresses, and soft voice eliciting an almost orgasmic release. Clients from all over clamor for his services, and his clientele is growing by the minute. Business is at its peak, which makes Parker a busy man who has no time to deal with problems, let alone dwell on his blindness. With his declining vision, Parker has to accept his limitations and the changes brought forth by this disease, but he is not ready to relinquish the last control he has left. He is still the master in his bedroom.
Kelly Storm, a Hollywood actress, will do whatever it takes to get some much-deserved peace. Being famous has its perks, except the little privacy her popularity afforded her is slowly eating at her. With the paparazzi hounding her every minute of the day and her personal life under constant scrutiny, Kelly wants a semblance of normalcy wherever she can get it. Under the urging of a close friend, she agrees give Parker a try.
Their first meeting is nothing she expects. Kelly finds comfort in his gentle probing and the spellbinding experience guaranteed to keep her coming back for more. Parker knows the woman on his table is special. He feels her vulnerability with his fingertips, and her smooth curves leave a burning ache inside him.
One night of steamy passion is all it takes to know that they wanted each other in more ways than one. Kelly hides in heavy disguises, making it impossible for Parker to know her true identity. What secret is Kelly keeping, and will she trust Parker enough to tell him the truth? Will Parker see beyond Kelly’s lies to show her what a future with him holds?

“The Reviews are in”:

This is a very enjoyable read. The characters are humanized with real issues and problems. At the same time, they had humor and love for one another. You are immediately drawn into the world of massage therapy, movie stars and D/S role-play.
Parker being legally blind needs control. D/S relationships are what he drifted to; he has the control he does not have in the sighted world. In addition, to throw an extra little fun he likes role-play. I was in tears laughing at ‘the Jetsons’ scene he and a sub enacted. Never when we were children did we imagine George Jetson doing the nasty with Jane or being kinky. Makes you look at cartoons in a completely new way!
Some of Parker’s lines are hilarious. You wonder how this guy can be serious!

“Where’s the hazmat suit?” When she hesitated, he added, “Condom, darling, condom.” ~Parker to Ann aka Kelly

Ann/Kelly was very tragic. She had a very public relationship that ended badly and a baby die. She had some emotional baggage to say the least. It was understandable that she didn’t want Parker to know who she was, a famous actress.

Working in an industry of make believe where you cannot trust anyone, Kelly wanted to make sure Parker wanted her for her. At the same time, she wanted to protect him from the vultures that made her live miserable, the paparazzi.
When they finally get together, it is so hard for her to tell him the truth. She keeps missing chances, and being caught up in the scenes he creates for them to enjoy. Before she realizes it Parker has broken down her walls, and she has fallen hard for him.

“Oh, Parker. You have so much to offer, and you have given me far more than I deserve. I don’t care that you can’t see me, because I know you feel me, and you know what’s in my heart.” ~Ann (Kelly) to Parker

Both Parker and Kelly have to come to terms with their past and current issues if they are going to make a go of any kind of relationship. Both are scared and it takes several pushes and tragedy to get them to face their fears.

Think of risk as a necessary evil in order to achieve what you want out of life. Not risking anything is the greatest folly, in my opinion. You have to give more than a hundred percent in everything you do, and not expect anything in return. ~Mrs. Crawford Parker’s favorite massage client in NYC who thinks of him as a son

The anger and lashing out Parker does at Kelly is written so honestly. You feel as if you are there. You hurt for both characters. Then when the minor characters try to help each of them, you feel pain for them as they are confronted with the in ability to aid their friends.
You will laugh, cry and heal with these characters. However, one lesson from this is you have nothing to offer another person if you are not whole yourself.
These are brilliantly written characters that come to life on the pages, making this novel a pleasure to read! I hope that more is to come from this author.
